Maytag Blower Wheels - Dryer

Your clothes dryer has the unenviable task of taking heavy, wet clothes from the washer and magically removing all the moisture. How does it do it (magic aside)? Well, it makes the moisture enter the air inside the dryer with heat and then it sucks that hot, humid air out of the machine (and on out your dryer vent which hopefully isn't too long or bent up). A crucial cog in this drying wheel is the blower wheel. This is a round fan, or wheel of curved fan fins, that spins as the motor turns and blows air out of the dryer vent. This causes a vacuum which sucks air from the dryer drum, through the lint screen, and on down the internal airway out the vent. If the blower wheel is damaged, everything in the drying process breaks down and the drying machine simply becomes a clothes roaster. And nobody likes roasted clothes.
