Filters - Drier

The filter drier includes a filter element that removes contaminants, such as dirt, debris, and moisture, from the refrigerant circulating in the system. This prevents blockages which will damage the system and prevent the air conditioner from working. The drying function removes moisture from the system which can cause corrosion and destroy the system from the inside out. It is good practice to replace the filter drier on air conditioners and heat pumps every 3 or 4 years.
