General Electric makes dryers under several brand names. RCA & Hotpoint dryers are made by GE and will generally use the same functional parts. In some cases you will find that your GE dryer was made by Frigidaire. GE dryers that were made by Frigidaire can be distinguished by the model number. These model numbers will begin with only 3 letters where GE brand dryers begin with 4 letters.
